Assessment Task
Using the annual report of Flight Centre for the year 2020, produce a financial statement analysis report that:
a) tabulates financial statement ratios and explains what is revealed by the ratio analyses in the context of the company's liquidity, profitability, efficiency, solvency and market performance.
b) provides an overall assessment of the value of the company, based on the ratios and make recommendations to current and prospective investors.
Context
The Examination Committee recently met to review the assessment results and academic progress of all students. During the review process, it was identified that you had not achieved a final pass grade this study period. To enable you to make satisfactory progress in your subject and ultimately your course, the Examination Committee has granted you a second opportunity to demonstrate your knowledge.
Instructions
Financial statement analysis using ratios has been discussed at length in this subject. Ratios are an essential tool for estimating the value and prospects for the business under consideration. The interpretation of the financial statement also provides students the opportunity to determine if the shares of the company under consideration are fairly valued.
You are required to produce a financial statement analysis report that:
a) includes an executive summary
b) tabulates financial statement ratios and explains what is revealed by the ratio analyses in the context of the company's liquidity, profitability, efficiency, solvency and market performance.
c) provides an overall assessment of the value of the company, based on the ratios and make recommendations to current and prospective investors.
