Background Information

Northumbria Engineering (NE) is an international company which develops engineering and technology products in all types of development, from corporate enterprises such as Opera Theatres, undersea tunnels, a complete portfolio of baseband processing software for wireless infrastructure and management information systems.

NE looks at every new initiative with a fresh perspective, no matter how big or small. The company supports partnership developments for its people, with its people and by its people; this approach is aimed at enabling, effective, efficient and creative approaches to producing new ideas and solutions.

The company is concerned that the rigorous processes required in managing projects are not enabling project managers to get the most out of their staff's creative passions. They have approached the module tutor for CM0647 to see if the students can help research strategies that could be applied to their project management process that would help the project managers to generate take up of creative ideas from staff, whilst achieving project objectives, within time and budget.

Your Task

Your task is to:

i. Recommend 3 strategies that would be beneficial to be adopted by NE project managers to support enabling team creativity within a project management setting.

ii. Suggest how these 3 strategies can be implemented by a project manager in a cost and time effective manner.
