Restrictions preventing on cross-ownership of different services were discontinued. By promoting competition and reducing regulations, the goal was to secure lower prices and higher-quality media and telecommunication services for customers. Yay! On the downside, there was concern about children having access to adult content online. Despite their best efforts, why has Congress been unable to restrict the transmission of obscene or indecent materials over the Internet?
