You are the dining room manager (DRM) for a startup restaurant that will provide full service to guests. As the DRM, you need to hire all of your service staff in the next month. Distinguish the roles and positions that will be available in regard to service staff in the dining room.

  1. Define the type of concept.
  2. Decide and define the style of service, or the house style.
  3. State what positions you need to fill.
  4. How many employees will you need for each service department?
  5. Create an organizational chart for the reporting relationships of the dining room service staff.
  6. If you were conducting interviews, how would you explain the nature of service and the role of the position they are applying for to a potential candidate?
