Question

Patient is a 25-year-old female with pelvic pain. HPI: Pain with intercourse, menstruation, BM's. Has recently experienced excessive cramping. Is feeling bloated in the abdomen. Positive for some nausea/vomiting. Has pain in lower back. First noticed symptoms 3 months ago but have worsened. Some symptom relief with heating pad and Motrin. VITAL SIGNS: Ht 5'2, Wt: 112, Temp: 97.0, BP: 125/82 CONSTITUTIONAL: Patient is pleasant, alert and oriented x4. Of normal height and weight. GI: No masses. No hepatosplenomegaly. Some tenderness and discomfort in LQ. Bowel sounds are active. GYN: Normally developed. No lesions. No masses. Tenderness and discomfort on exam. SKIN: Normal. DIAGNOSTIC: Pelvic ultrasound performed in office. Dx: Follicular cysts found in both right and left ovary.
