It was 402 BC. The Athenians had recently declared an amnesty for the Thirty Tyrants and their supporters. Your Athenian had been involved in the fighting that led to the expulsion of the Thirty. He was wounded and permanently disabled in that fighting. Once the democracy was restored, your Athenian decided to prosecute one of the Thirty Tyrants for intentional wounding (trauma ek pronoias).
