Early childhood education funding in my opinion is insufficient like most schools across the nation. I believe that education should be at the top of the funding pool always. I have personally seen early childhood education centers not have enough food for lunch, so they must ration hungry students especially when they are young do not perform well. A lot of these do not have the funding to purchase the right developmental tools for the classroom which only hurts the students. Or the lack of funding for knowledgeable early childhood education professionals. These individuals are vital to educating our students with the best quality education possible but if they don't have the knowledge, they need to do so the students lose the ability to develop, and many lose the want to learn. The ERS (2023), states "Although districts strive for funding equity-students and schools with comparable needs receiving comparable funding-most districts' funding systems create disparities without district leaders even realizing they exist" (ERS. 2023). This inequality truly hurts low income communities who need the best education because a lot of the time they receive no guidance in their home lives.
