The patient, a 35 year old male was admitted for possible gastritis. He had undergone a cadaveric renal transplant for end stage renal disease two years ago. On endoscopic examination of the lower esophagus and stomach, patchy erythemas were seen in the stomach and biopsies of the stomach were taken . The impression was mild reflux esophagitis and mild antral duodenitis. As his dietary intake improved, his physical condition improved as well.
