1. The messages this cartoon is trying to give are: To please do not waist you time making your group of people better and powerful because you have something extra than the other group of people or to take the power and to isolate the other group and make them losers. Accept the difference and move on. Teach you kids that we all equal and to live happy is when we accept each other and respect everyone no matter where they came from this all we lead to peace and happy living.

2. I think the message this cartoon is trying to give is that we are all so caught up in what we have and what we own but once you take that away like the Sneetches who did not know who was who after switching from star to no star so many times, we are able to accept each other as people for who we are and the rest falls away as materialistic and vain worries.
