Assignment:
Develop a lesson that focuses on the Process, not the end Product. Make sure you have read and understand this article below from NAEYC on "Process Art" before you begin the assignment.
1. Make lesson plan for an ART lesson.
Lesson Plan should include (look at my examples!):
Subject: Art
Focus: What part of the subject will you be teaching; recognizing colors, sensory exploration, creative expression, etc.
Overview: Summarize your subject and focus, i.e. "I will be teaching an art lesson designed to explore the sense of touch."
Purpose: What you want to achieve through your lesson; " I would like to increase awareness of how things feel and develop vocabulary to describe."
Objective: Specific achievement; "Children will explore at least two materials using sense of touch."
Resources/Materials: The items and materials you will use for your lesson.
Activities/Procedures: How you will begin and follow through with your lesson, step by step. It is nice to begin with a book!
Tying it all together: Extending the lesson; "At dismissal, I will ask children to use one word they remember to describe their art experience." Or "I will ask each child what his/her favorite touch material was."
2. in a one-paragraph response, explain WHY your art activity was a process art lesson.
