Question

According to Epicurus and the Stoics (e.g. Epictetus) offer quite different ideas about happiness. According to Epicurus, pleasure will make us happy. By contrast, Stoics such as Epictetus hold that managing our reactions and pursuing virtue will make us happy. Remember, both groups add lots of qualifications to their views. So when it comes to happiness, what are the arguments for either side? Who is more correct, if anyone? Or perhaps, is one group correct in one way, and the other in a different way? What do you think?
