Question1

A car moves along a road in such a way that the distance x, travelled in a time t, is given by

x = a + bt 3

where a and b have the constant values of 3.9 and 3.0 ms-3, correspondingly.

Obtain an expression for the velocity, v, as a function of time.

Express the answers in terms of v, a, b and t.

Question2

Besides its weight, a 2.80-kg object is subjected to one other constant force. The object starts from rest and in 1.20 s experiences a displacement of (4.20i - 3.30j) m, where direction of j is the upward vertical direction. Find out the other force.
