An ethical issue to research that is common for today's business leaders: Sexual Harassment

As women entered the workplace in increasing numbers in the middle of the 20th century, gender dynamics in the workplace shifted from a peripheral concern in the business community to a central issue. Sexual harassment, and the power imbalance that permits it, is a core ethical issue. One crucial question involved whether a superior and subordinate could ever engage in a truly consensual sexual relationship. While the answer remains unclear, the ambiguity itself suggests that sexual relationships of any kind in the workplace set a business and its owner up for sexual harassment charges.

The research paper should in:

  1. Define the ethical issue you have selected and its relevance to businesses.
  2. Provide an explanation of how the issue has developed or changed over time.
  3. Give examples of cases involving this ethical issue.
  4. Give a brief explanation about what, if any, personal experience you have had with this issue, and your thoughts and feelings at the time of the experience.
  5. Give an explanation about what your opinion is, and what you think should be done as a remedy for this issue.
  6. Make sure you have a defined introduction and conclusion.
  7. Back up your opinion/solution with ethical concepts you've learned in the course.
