Some scenarios need a rewrite of a communication while in other instances, it is necessary to explain in detail what course of action you would take.

Communication #2 (body of an e-mail to all department employees)

This email is sent in hopes of reaching the guilty parties who continue to forget to forward the department phones to the 2nd Shift Clerk after office hours. It is a department policy that the department phones must be forwarded at 4:30p. It is very irresponsible and careless for clerks to leave for the day and not forward the phones. It is not that hard!

Assignment: Rewrite the body of this e-mail using appropriate communication techniques.
