Question 1. EITHER find a newspaper, TV, radio or web article that reports some scientific study or statistical analysis of interest to you, and track down the primary source for the article ORget a newspaper article and its primary source from the course coordinator.
Hand in these two articles with your assignment.
Question 2. Carefully read the primary source and summarise the study and findings.
Question 3. Prepare your own newspaper article for the study with at least one appropriate table or graph.
Check that your newspaper article conveys a statistically-soundly argument and statistically correct statements. If you think the study has inherent problems, questionable interpretations, or alternative explanations, pretend that you consulted an "expert" who then commented on those matters.
Question 4. Prepare a letter to the editor responding to your newspaper article about whether or not the results of the research are meaningful or meaningful to you.
Question 5. State how and why your newspaper article is different to the original newspaper article.
