The biggest take-away is the way in which the RFP uses the EHR system, and how it has improved the quality of care provided to patients. It ensures continuity of care, RFP uses an open access model, it allows walk ins, easy access to medication and medical records for physicians who works at that same facility. Due to that system being so convenient, any doctor who is working with that patient are able to review and get an idea of their patient's history and or concerns. The RFP also collaborated with some labs that can help patients get their results faster and physicians to review patient's results quickly and conveniently. The system provides alerts to the authorized employee, so that they are alerted as to when patients are in need of certain procedures such as mammogram, coloscopy etc. The system is great for the staffs especially the physicians because it alerts the medical assistant who can address some issues before the physician enters the exam room.
