Question

For my quality improvement project, I will first identify the problem that needs improvement in my facility. I will gather a group of nurses from different units and ask what skill sets are needed to make a better outcome for the patients. We all will be able to communicate effectively and work together toward a common goal.That is where my itra and inter-professional communication will be most effective. I will then apply complexity leadership concepts by encouraging my team to be open in learning new skills or refreshing skills needed for our patient population. I will use theories of change by guiding nurses in a skills day. When at the start of the day, they did not know how to do a certain skill set then by the end of the day, they will be proficient in carrying out the skill. This will lead to higher quality outcomes.
