To support a uniform boom a cable runs from this same point to a wall (left hand vertical coordinate) and by a pivot on the same wall at an elevation of 3m. (Max is 8.5m, so left side of triangle is 6.5, bottom is 8, and hypotenuse is T). Compute the tension in the cable. The acceleration of gravity is 9.8.
