One application of multiplying polynomials is finding the area of a shape. Polynomials could be used to find the ideal dimensions for your backyard flower garden. Your mission is to choose one of the following shapes and find the area of it. The measurements of your shape should be binomials, like

In Part 1 of this Discussion, you determined a polynomial that represented the area of a shape. In Part 2, you will choose one of your classmate's polynomials and factor it completely. Remember to look for a greatest common factor before you apply any of the factoring methods. Show each step of the factorization. Note that your factored result may not look exactly like your classmate's polynomial.
