In this scene, a father initially discourages his son from shooting baskets, saying that he was "below average" and tells his son that "he will rank somewhere around there and will excel at a lot of things but not this." He watches his son throw the ball into the corner in a discouraged manner. The father then catches himself and in a heartfelt moment tells his son "Don't let anyone tell you you can't do something."
