Purpose of Final Writing Challenge:

• Opportunity for students to recognize the learning and progress they have made in Effective Written Communication.

 Final Writing Challenge Instructions: 

• Drawing on your personal reflection and critical thinking skills,informal, analytical report (in memo format) evaluating your participation and learning in the Effective Written Communication course.  
• In writing this report, draw from your entire course experience. For example, you may want to done about concepts such as your attitude, work ethic, time management, punctuality, writing assignments, group work, critical thinking, peer mentoring, - to name just a few.  You choose what to done about.
• Remember to begin with an introduction that makes your intent in writing the report clear.  
• All writing strategies, formatting, grammar, punctuation and proofreading techniques covered during the course will be assessed. 
• Use the following questions to guide the body of your report and your report headings:
• Compare and contrast your writing skills and confidence today with your writing skills and confidence when you began the EWC course.
• Thinking about what you have accomplished over the past twelve weeks in EWC, describe, in detail, what you consider to be your three greatest achievements? Be sure to include a clear explanation of how these achievements evolved.
• Still thinking about your three greatest achievements in EWC, describe how each one of these accomplishments will help you to succeed when you are gainfully employed?
• If you were beginning the EWC course tomorrow - knowing what you know now - what would you do differently? What would you do the same?
• What advice would you give to new PACE students who are about to begin the Effective Written Communication course?
• Complete the report with a brief conclusion and a recommendation for students considering taking the Effective Written Communication course.
• All writing strategies, grammar and punctuation covered during the course will be assessed.
