Purpose of Collaborative Activity 

The purpose of the collaborative activity is for the students to gain an understanding of SWOTT, and to prepare for the Week 3 SWOTT External and Internal Forces: The New Venture Individual Assignment. 

Collaborative Activity Steps 

Imagine you are preparing a presentation for the stakeholders of the company you work for about strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, threats, and trends affecting the company. 

Discuss how you would present the following information to the stakeholders:

• Explain the planning process and the function of management planning.
• Define the internal, external, and global factors that influence expansion in the market place. Provide at least two examples for each.
• Analyze factors that influence planning, operational planning, and strategic planning. Provide at least two of each.
• Identify three current economic forces and trends that affect the business.
• Evaluate how technology, the organization's goals, and competitive advantage relate to the organization's sustainability.
• Discuss the internal and external trends that are different.
• What are the competitive advantages of each?
• Conduct a SWOTT Analysis showing how each is different. 

Prepare a analysis of your discussion you will use for your Week 3 assignment. You do not need to post the analysis, but you will keep it to help prepare you for the individual assignment.
