Psychosocial hazards happen in business
As the restaurant's owner. I know my excellent female employee is a lesbian. She just married her fiance. Yesterday, her fiance visited her at the restaurant. Unfortunately, a regular customer heard their conversation. He is a sexist person, he bullied that worker, he was about to hit her. He pushed her and she fell in in front of other customers. These customers were really surprised and asked themselves "what did I just see". The consequence is this worker got mental health such as trauma, and she doesn't want to work anymore.
As the restaurant's owner/ manager, What behaviours, procedures would mitigate the negative effects of this situation?
Such as
How will I be handling this situation?
What steps will my staff take in this situation?
How will the guests be handled?
How will I ensure functional communication between management, staff, guests, first responders and others?
Forecast the likelihood of secondary hazards and how these will be handled?
Give insightful details.
