Case Study: In this assignment, you will analyze leadership of an organization during a particular event or across a defined set of events. The assignment will assess your ability to identify and to compare and contrast different approaches to leadership in their practice; to analyze the significance of multiple leadership perspectives within an event, to analyze the impact of cultural models and perspectives on the leadership of an event, and to apply leadership principles to evaluate the outcomes of an event in terms of competitive advantage and organizational efficiency and productivity.
This is an individual assignment. To complete this assignment, you will select and gain approval for the event, from within your personal/professional experience, that you will analyze. Your case study will include a description of the event, its aims, and its outcomes; your examination of the key environmental factors (i.e., apart from leadership), perspectives, and cultural models that most directly bore on the event; your analysis of the models and approaches applied by the event leader(s); your assessment of the outcomes of the event in terms of aims of the event, competitive advantage, and organizational productivity and efficiency; and your retrospective recommendations for leadership protocols to optimize organizational performance in follow-on activities.

For your topic proposal:
Question 1: IDENTIFY AN EVENT WITHIN WHICH YOU PARTICIPATED AND FOR WHICH YOU HAD A DIRECT OPPORTUNITY TO VIEW THE ACTIONS OF THE EVENT LEADER OR OF SEVERAL KEY LEADERS. YOU MUST HAVE PERSONALLY BEEN INVOLVED OR BEEN A DIRECT OBSERVER TO THE EVENT AND OF THE LEADERS YOU WILL ANALYZE.
Question 2: Provide your instructor with the title of the event and a two-to-three paragraph description of the event you propose to analyze; your positioning within the event; and identification of the leader(s) you plan to analyze, including their role(s) in the event.
