Provide 9 songs that you think best reflect three civilizations we been learning about so far, located in Mesopotamia / Egypt / India. Each civilization should have three songs that you think best reflect something within that civilization's history. Students need to list the following for each song:

• Artist(s),

• Explanation: Why did you choose the song for that civilization. I will be most interested in your analysis as to why you chose that particular song. Analysis that states: "Because this song is cool" is not sufficient. Think about the civilization's culture, themes of art or architecture, political issues, religious practices, roles of women, etc. Be mindfulofyourselections.
