Problem

Part A: One of the first steps in seeking treatment is a psychological assessment. Psychological assessments are performed to assess a client's functioning and mental health. During these psychological assessment's you will be put through a variety of tests. You may be required to answer questions or carry out particular tasks or activities. The tasks you will complete during psychological evaluations are intended to provide some insight into how well you can function. Your psychologist will use the results of the evaluation to make the proper diagnosis and better understand the nature and extent of your symptoms.

Part B: I found the humanistic approach to be the most intriguing in chapter four. The humanistic viewpoint considers things from both the observer's and the individual's points of view. It is based on the idea that every person is special and distinct and has the capacity to change at any point in time throughout their lives. I agree with this approach.
