Up the Hill Car Dealership Scenario:

UpHillCars Inc. is a family owned business dealing with selling various luxury cars in both new and used formats. The company opera tes in th ree dif ferent locations namely Toronto, Mississuaga and Brampton. Toronto location has three sales offices, while Mississuaga and Brampton have 2 sales offices each. The Company's main business focus is to sell more new cars rather than the used ones. The car dealership provides financing support to new buyers in addition to other services such as bodyshop, parts and customer care center. The car dealership's top management includes a President (Reza Felani), a Vice President (Nancy, Reza's wife) who is also the Chief Finanial Officer, two directors responsible for inbound and outbound logistics and operations, a parts manager, a service manager, two sales and marketing mangers, a used vehicle sales manager and finally an HR manager. UpHillCars has recently hired 70 employees for Toronto, 30 employees for Mississuga and 20 employees for Brampton locations. These employees have various different job functions from sales to finance and to repair and service. The Toronto main office is acting as a distribution center for all other locations. Various different suppliers deliver new products, parts, services, and technological support to UpHillCars via Toronto's main office. XYZ-Bank is the dealership's main financial institution. It provides financing support to both company and customers.

Currently there are 100 desktop computers in Toronto (40 main office and 30 for each other offices) along with 6 laser printers (network printers), 70 desktop computers and four laser printers in Mississuaga (two offices) and 30 desktop computers and four laser printers in Brampton (two offices).

In addition all top mangers have their own laptops which they carry everyday to the work. The car dealership wants to provide online services to its customers as well as the employees. Your tasks are to network all branches, provide internet connectivity, e-mail services, remote connectivity between branches and Toronto. You need also deploy other servers as detailed in the following questions:

1) Draw a diagram for the above scenario using a drawing program such as Microsoft Visio.

2) Provide LAN solution for each office connecting computers and printers together. What types of topology/topologies are about to you use and why? Explain all connectivity devices used by your selected topology/topologies.

3) Provide an automated IP address solutions for the above offices using a DHCP server.

Note: You need to explain how this server will assign IP address to its clients and how this server is related to DNS server.

4) Provide a secure Remote connectivity solution to all offices as well as the main office and XYZ-bank by using IPsec VPN.

5) Provide VoIP solution between the main office and other branch offices.

6) Provide secure Web as well as email services to clients. Place these servers along with the other related servers (e.g., VPN server) in a DMZ area. Note: The DMZ is connected to the Internet through a firewall.

7) There are 4 main LAN servers: a Database server, a File Server, an Application server, and a Finance server that provides services to all employees as well as managers in three locations. These servers must be installed in the Main office. You need to secure these servers as well.
