In this case, the divisor and quotient are two 8-bit numbers (or a 16-bit number with the upper eight bits set to 0's) and the dividend is a 16-bit value. Another way of saying it is the range of the quotient and divisor is from 0x0000 to 0x0FF, and the dividend is from 0x0000 to 0xFFFF,, unsigned.
