Question: This semester we will cover many different and interesting topics pertinent to the discipline of sociology. To help you delve deeper into one, you will complete a topic summary wherein you pick apart different parts of the chapters.

Because the chapters are lengthy and cover a lot, please follow these instructions to complete the assignment:

Your topic summary should be at least 2 pages in length (12pt font, Times New Roman, 1" margins, double spaced, no cover page or abstract).
Select five different concepts/theories from one or more chapters and summarize your understanding of them. For instance, if you choose chapter 10 and conflict theory's explanation in it, your summary of that concept will show that you comprehend how conflict theory explains racial relations, discrimination, etc.

Your final submission should include only five (5) concepts total. Not five (5) concepts from each chapter.

For each of your five points, you can summarize your understanding of the concept, provide an example and apply the text to it, or any other way you can show me that you understand the material.
