Assignment Paper - Compare and Contrast
For this final assignment, you must analyse a selection of pre-recorded videos which offer comparative and contrasting notions of how individuals have attempted to decolonize institutions (i.e.: home, school, workplace, art-space, etc.) through their practice, pedagogy, and/or activism. Take notes, find parallels, similarities, and differences between their approaches to dismantling structural, cultural, and colonial powers in their communities. Be sure you have watched the primary sources and gathered secondary sources on the given topic before you start your first draft. Try to find secondary sources that are as applicable and relevant as possible: no older than 5-10 years. Do not forget to apply only credible sources (as listed below) to reveal and support your topics and arguments. Please provide an analysis and critique of the presentations you saw in comparative form.
Again, you will decide on your 3 Primary Sources from Option A (TEDx Talk) or B (Panel Discussion), and then gather your own collection of Secondary Sources (at least 3) to support your argument (see the list of credible sources below).
