Case: A health innovators' conference highlights the following two startups:

Company A is developing a new version of implantable insulin patches that would provide diabetics with necessary insulin for up to two years.

Company B is developing a new device that would be implanted in the pancreas and improve its insulin production so that no oral/injectable insulin therapy will be necessary for up to 20 years. The catch is that the device might malfunction with increasing probability over time and will have to be replaced in 20 years.
