Question: There is no doubt that several concepts and methods that have been central to "third-wave" interventions are now permanently part of CBT. These "third-wave" CBT models and approaches include but are not limited to: acceptance and commitment therapy, mindfulness-based cognitive therapy, meta-cognitive therapy, compassion-based therapy, and schema-focused work. Review the brief descriptions of these methods in chapter 17 of Kennerley et al., (2017), and based on your interest, read one of the articles in the course readings or watch one of the videos to gain a more in-depth description of one of the models or approaches listed above. Provide a reflection and start a discussion around your chosen method.
