The goal is to design a memory system to support a small amount of data storage outside of the processor. The design is to be based on the 16K bit CY7C128A SRAM organized as 2Kx8. (a) Provide a high-level block diagram for such an interface. (b) Provide a high-level timing diagram for the interface to the SRAM from the microprocessor, assuming that separate address and data busses are available. Define any control signals that may be necessary. (c) Design the interface based on the timing diagram from part (a). (d) Analyze the memory performance for a write and read operation of 1, 10, and 100 bytes. Part 2: For the following aspects of an embedded application, provide a data and control flow diagram. (a) Reading/writing from/to a USB port and a general parallel port (b) Accessing and reading a mouse (c) Accessing and reading keys from a keyboard (d) Controlling and accessing a digital-to-analog convert (e) Controlling and accessing analog-to-digital convert (f) Burning a CD (g) Transferring data from an external device to memory and then to a display (h) Managing and controlling a video on demand system in a motel or hotel (i) An automatic process for filling and capping bottle of juice on an assembly line
A series-connected load draws a current i(t)=4cos(100pt + 10°) A when the applied voltage is v(t) = 120cos(100pt-20°) V. Determine a) The circuit‘s apparent power b) The power factor, pf c) The value of the impedance Z
An analog signal contains frequencies up to 10kHz. (a) What range of sampling frequencies allows exact reconstruction of this signal from its samples. (b) Suppose that we sample this signal with a sampling frequency Fs = 8kHz.
(a) An average hole velocity of 10^3 cm/sec results when 2 v is appliedaccross a 1 cm-long semiconductor bar. What is the mobilityof the bar (b) name the two dominant carrier scattering mechanisms innondegenerately doped semiconductors of device qu..
Two random variables X and Y have a joint probability density function given by f(x,y) =kxy 0
A sinusoidal voltage wave of real amplitude B0, and frequency w, and phase constant B, propogate in the forward z direction toward the shorted load end in a lossless transmission line of characteristic impedance Z0.
An AB latch operates as follows: If A = 0 and B = 0, the latch state is Q = 0; if either A = 1 or B = 1 (but not both), the latch output does not change; and when both A = 1 and B = 1, the latch state is Q = 1. Construct the state table and derive ..
plot the magnitude and phase (bode plots) of the following transfer function in the frequency range of 0.1 to1000rd/sec. Fs=(s+10)(s+50)/200s2
The exponential Fourier series coecients for a signal x(t) are: ak= { 1.57 when k=0, 0 when k is even and k doesnt equal 0, ((-1)(k-1)/2)/k when k is odd} Determine the following: (a) Plot the spectrum of the Fourier series.
Explain the structure and nature of the ionosphere with reference to daily, seasonal and long-term changes and explain the modes of propagation of radio waves of different frequencies
which electrical meters are self-powered from an internal source such as a battery, and which meters draw their power frm the circuit to which they are attached
At the beginning of each year, the cows are divided into three groups. Young heifers (aged 0 to 1 year) make up the first group. The second group consists of cows aged 1 to 2 years, and the third group consists of all cows aged 2 years or older.
Description of Transformer, An 11 kV to 415 V transformer has a rating of 100 kVA. The winding resistance and leakage reactance when referred to the secondary are 0.0142 Ohm and 0.0569 Ohm respectively
