- For each problem you developed, identify and discuss a model or theory within scholarly and practitioner literature that can be used to further understand the problem. For clarity, you should identify and discuss at least three different models or theories, not simply one model or theory that would apply to all three business problems.
- For your leadership problem, identify an applied framework (which can be based on a theoretical, conceptual, process, or developmental framework) and explain how the framework relates to the problem. Explain your rationale for selecting this applied framework. Recognize that an applied framework is a real-world guide or lens for a business practitioner to follow and use to mitigate or overcome the problem.
- For your leadership problem, construct and include a mind map to illustrate the linkages among the key concepts in the applied framework. Explain the map in detail.
- You may wish to use the Creating Mind Maps activity in this assessment to make your mind map.
- In your report, give a detailed explanation of the concepts and connections in your mind map.
Leadership Problem
Companies need to devote more resources to crisis management and preparedness for disasters. Shock leadership development provides a framework for preparing for and managing pandemic situations. There may be severe repercussions if corporate social responsibility for crises is not accepted. Ad hoc skills are necessary for leaders to improvise, communicate, adapt to and create new standards. The threat of pandemics has become more prevalent in today's global business environment.
Organizations must be prepared to respond swiftly and effectively to any potential pandemic situation. Shock leadership development programs can help businesses develop the skills necessary to respond effectively to global crises. Real-time, scenario-based training enables leaders to employ a variety of leadership philosophies as needed.
Information Technology Problem
The increasing adoption of cloud-based resources has posed new hurdles to business Information Technology (IT) departments. IT departments continually enhance their capabilities to keep up with the needs of the business and rapid technological advancements. The ability of the IT department to assist a business in recognizing and utilizing the value of IT is becoming increasingly crucial. By approaching digital transformation in functional silos, it may be possible to overlook important factors or miss possibilities for cross-fertilization. A firm is transformed into a digital product or service offering through digital transformation (Verhoef et al., 2021). This capability requires the ability to quickly adapt to shifting trends and technologies as well as identify and overcome potential obstacles to the successful implementation of information technology.
Marketing Problem
It takes time to keep up with social media, so restaurant managers should have more time to dedicate to that. Managers may need more knowledge that marketing agencies can provide and the time and resources necessary to receive social media training for themselves or their workers. Due to time and personnel limitations, smaller restaurants may be more reluctant to integrate the necessary technology. A restaurant's brand image, loyalty, equity, preference, and leadership can benefit from social media promotion. Small restaurants in the US need to execute a comprehensive social media marketing strategy if they want to expand.
Customers' opinions should be monitored so companies can learn how their products are used. Recruiting employees is virtually untapped, as only three restaurants sought to acquire new staff via social media.
