The ace manufacturing company's sales division receives an order from a customer. a price quotation is prepared in duplicate, one copy is given to the customer and the other copy to the credit officer for approval of the credit term. The credit officer approves the quotation and sends it back to the sales head. The sales head prepares a job order slip in triplicate, assigns a job order number and sends one copy to the accounting department and another copy to the production department. The production department uses its copy to produce the product. Once the productis finished, the product together with the production's job order copy goes to the sales division for invoicing. Production copyis signed by the sales head and returned to the production department for filing. Sales head prepares five invoice copies, two goes to the accounting clerk and accounts receivable clerk and the other two copies to the shipping department. Sales head files its copy temporarily. Accounting department records the invoice in the sales journal, accounts receivable clerk enters it in the accounts receivable card. Shipping department prepares a delivery receipt in quadruplicate, sends the goods to the customer who signs the delivery receipts. Shipping department gives the customer the original sales invoice and delivery receipt. Shipping department files its copy and sendsthe other two copies to the accounting department to be attached to the invoices.
