For this Case Study, you will research the timely topic of Work/Life Balance in the workplace. It is highly relevant today as many companies are recognizing, while it may cause some difficulty in setting it up, it can be a major retention tool for their employees. With increasing time spent on caring elderly relatives, and the difficulties in a single parent, the realization of the need for addressing this problem has been more and more in the news and on HR agendas.
For this Case assignment:
1. Provide a clear description of what Work/Life Balance is, its brief history and current issues for implementing it
2. Identify at least one company from your research that has been an exemplary organization of how to do it right. Provide the sources of where you identified this research, and go into detail on what this program entails and why it is attractive to their employees or potential hires. Be specific in this section
3. Finally, provide your own point of view of what you believe are both the benefits for this program, AND what disadvantages it may have for the organization to implement it.
This should be a minimum of a two (2 page), excluding cover page, paper that includes your research sources as well. Follow the usual formatting: Two (2) full pages in a Word document, 1.5 spacing, normal margins and font size no more than 12.
