Problem- Proteins are sometimes embedded in the lipid membranes of cells. Many such proteins serve as channels to allow various things to flow in and out of the cells. The interiors of lipid membranes are very hydrophobic. Imagine a protein that is shaped like a doughnut. The top of the doughnut is exposed to one side of the membrane, while the bottom is exposed to the other. The hole allows water to flow between the two sides. What sort of residues would you expect to line the walls of the doughnut hole? What about on the outer regions that are exposed to the interior of the lipid membrane?

Any expert will able to make available correct answer for the above question.
