Discussion Prompt: Protection of the Nonprofit
As a member of the Board of Directors and as the Executive Director of a nonprofit organization, you are responsible for the financial well-being of the organization and may even be held personally liable. Your responsibility and liability are not limited to your own actions, but extend to others such as employees of the organization.
For this discussion, review the following articles concerned with protecting a nonprofit organization. Then post your discussion thread describing at least five things that you believe is important for a nonprofit organization to have in place in order to protect itself against illegal activities, financial fraud, etc. Be sure to include in-text citations and references in your response.
