Telehealth is a blanket term for all interactions that occur between a provider and patient remotely. It goes way beyond just a provider virtual visit; your textbook discusses some of the other ways it is used. However, telehealth has some pitfalls. Vulnerable populations can be taken advantage of, and it is almost impossible to verify that a virtual visit took place. This opens the door to various types of fraud.
