The World Bank recently classified Namibia as an upper middle-income country. This classification was received with mixed feelings from various corners across the country. According to some, the classification of Namibia as an upper middle-income country places the country at a disadvantage side. Others felt that the classification places Namibia on an advantage side.
Write an essay and critically analyse the pros and cons of this classification to the economy of Namibia - making references to specific focus areas of concern. In your essay, develop arguments that led to this classification and present a case either in favour or not in favour of the formula.
