Question 1: Look for a reliable YouTube video or internet article about the pros and cons of automation in the workplace. Use what you learned from that source as well as information learned in Chapter 9 to help defend your opinion about how automation affects employment/unemployment. Cite the website and textbook pages used to help you with your response. 

Question 2: Discuss what the changes will mean specifically for the clothing industry, the shoe industry, and other fashion-related industries as well as how you will benefit as a consumer. Cite source used in developing your response.

Question 3:   Although automation obviously takes jobs away from some people, it also creates new jobs for humans that require new skills. Provide your opinion about these 3 issues:

  1. Is the education system in high school and college (both academic and technical) in the United States (or in your country) currently doing an effective job of training individuals for the new skills needed? 
  2. What do you believe the education system should be doing to do a better job?  
  3. What about those people who don't believe they can be trained for the new jobs automation is creating or are truly "untrainable"? Identify these types of people. What will happen to those people?
