Question

A 33-year-old woman will be initiated on SSRI therapy for anxiety. A review of her current medications reveals that she uses a combined oral contraceptive as well as sumatriptan for migraines, which occur about 1-2 times per week. The PMHNP recommends: QID: 3661656Mark For Review No adjustment to her current treatment choices is needed. She should use a back-up contraceptive while on SSRI therapy. Sumatriptan should be switched to ibuprofen for migraine treatment. Sumatriptan should be switched to propranolol for migraine abortive therapy.
