Project Part 1: Proposal
Overall task is to develop and present a brief business plan for a new entrepreneurial venture.
For Part 1 Proposal, the first task is to choose the type of business you want to launch. Then, as your first submission for this project, write up a brief explanation of your Proposal.
Write about Asian Grocery Store. the store name is House of Spice. The store has most of the asian food that we get in local asian stores.
The proposal should include the following:
Type of business chosen - Asian Grocery Store
1. Title page, and the proposed name for the business ( House of Spice)
2. No more than 2 pages
3.The type of business. What product or service will you offer? What customer need will your business fill? (mostly food and kitchen supplies etc..)
4. The proposed location or type of location of the new venture. How will you get your product or service to your customers? in the city london ontario
5.The proposed legal form of the business (i.e. sole proprietorship, partnership, corporation or other form). Include a short (2-3 sentences) explanation as to why you feel this form is appropriate. If not all group members are partners or owners, then what is their role in the business? (there are 5 partners in the business)
6. Readability of the document- (includes layout, spelling, grammar, flow, clear and logical writing)
There are some assumptions that you should make when deciding on the kind of business that you want
to launch:
* Assume that you have access to $50,000 in start-up money. You can "spend" more than this provided you have a plan for where the extra money is going to come from. You are limited in your fundraising to an additional $50,000
* Your proposal cannot be a franchise, as most franchises require unencumbered funds.
* The venture must be able to operate legally. No illegal products or services!
Hints for Project:
Discuss and develop a clear idea of how your business will work: Here are some aspects to consider that will help your group clarify your proposal. Will you offer your product or service online or in person or both? How and where will customers find you? If you have a physical product, are you the creator, the wholesaler, the retailer, or all of the above? Will you need a warehouse area to store product? A manufacturing location? If you provide services will it be online or in person? Do you need an office? How wide an area will your business serve? Local? International?
NO MORE THEN TWO PAGE
