Question: Your company director has been in several discussions with Mr Sinclair, the director of Nelcom Supermarket ltd, for the construction of a Super Store on Curzon Street as part of the retailer's expansion into the Birmingham City Centre. From their last meeting, Mr Sinclair assured your director that your company will be the main contractor for the project. Although the drawings are not complete, Mr Sinclair has been advised that starting very early on site will help to get the super store ready for the Commonwealth Games taking place in Birmingham. To ensure this happens, Mr Sinclair has asked your director to get the construction team to take possession of the site, set up the site and to put in orders for the necessary materials although the drawings are not complete, and the contract is not ready. He has assured your director that your company will be given the project ultimately, and a contract will be signed once the drawings are complete and contract documentation finalised.
