A Shared Appreciation Mortgage (SAM) is a loan contract in which the lender shares in the property price appreciation upon sale, but does not share the depreciation in price. Borrowers will never accept such contracts and lenders will always prefer such contracts. Agree/Disagree? Explain your answer.
