"As a social worker it is imperative to make sure that everyone will be supported in every way despite their nationality, race and culture. Individuals must be treated with appropriate appreciation, respect and dignity. To better handle racism's situations, I need to recognize and address the inadequacies of our social systems. As a social worker, there needs to be a deep commitment to find effective and efficient formulas to work with people toward social justice. We must work actively to achieve their emancipation from the relational and structural social dynamic that undermine individual freedom, that threaten social integration, and significantly the life people's satisfaction.

Social workers have to support and protect people's rights from the challenges of disadvantages, to promote diversity and respect different cultures.

At work in the hospital, social workers work together for patients' well being, and it is amazing to see them work with cultural diversity, treating them equally. Providing assistance since they are admitted until they are transferred to another facility to recover, within the hospital, to another facility or home, and making sure that the patients are transferred safely. The identity and culture is a challenge but the hospital provides ways in which the patient can be comfortable when communicating with medical personnel because they have interpreters in different languages and medical personnel are trained to ask how patients want to be called. The hospital receives donations to help patients in need, improve the hospital services, and create different activities for medical personnel to interact constantly."
