Overview of Assessment: Assessment 2 concentrates on evaluation of how successful a Strategy is. Its purpose is to analyse methods of measuring, monitoring, controlling and assessing performance and to analyse how these methods have or could be applied in the Case Organisation. It is:
• An individual written assessment
• in report format
• based on the case study organisation of your choosing in assessment 1.
Your submitted report should demonstrate your ability to:
• SLO4 Describe and apply methods of measuring and assessing performance against strategic plans
Task: Report on how your selected tourism, hospitality or events industry related Case Study Organisation selected for assessment 1 will know if their strategy is successful or not.
You could include:
• What constitutes success?
• The frameworks, theories, approaches and models for measuring, monitoring and controlling performance.
• The types of performance that can be measured.
• The types of performance comparisons
• Measuring the success of social responsibility and sustainability strategies.
• Evaluating performance and identifying gaps
• Communicating performance information
