This activity will enable you to demonstrate the following performance evidence:
• Conform to the legal and financial obligations of the organisation
• Establish and maintain good human relations with contracted employees, subcontractors and other stakeholders
• Manage organisational taxation and insurance obligations successfully
• Effectively advise appropriate authorities and gain the necessary approvals or responses
• Promote and work in the best interest of clients.
Answer the activity in as much detail as possible, considering your organisational requirements.
1. Conform to the legal and financial obligations of the organisation during time period of unit according to timetable.
You should provide evidence of the following tasks:
• Confirm business registration and construction licensing/registration
• Maintain and store legal documents according to organisation procedures
• Ensure organisation compliance with WHS and environmental protection legislation Present your evidence as a portfolio of work, which has been observed by the assessor.
2. Establish and maintain good relations with contracted employees, subcontractors and other stakeholders (role plays can be played by fellow learners and assessor) during time period of unit according to timetable.
You should provide evidence of the following tasks:
• Demonstrate professional communication skills
• Apply equal opportunities principles during recruitment and selection
• Follow and document dispute resolution processes where necessary
Present your evidence as a portfolio of work, which has been observed by the assessor.
3. Manage organisational taxation and insurance obligations successfully.
You should provide evidence of the following tasks:
• Record, collect and make taxation payments in compliance with Australian Taxation Office requirements
• Identify and implement insurance policies to provide appropriate cover for personnel, property and project works
Present your evidence as a portfolio of work, which has been observed by the assessor.
4. Effectively advise appropriate authorities (assessor) and gain the necessary approvals or responses.
You should provide evidence of the following tasks:
• Provide relevant information on legal requirements from government authorities
• Seek appropriate permits and approvals prior to construction work
5. Promote and work in the best interest of at least two clients (role-plays can be by fellow learners / assessor).
You should provide evidence of the following tasks:
• Identify the client's objectives, needs, financial situations and any other relevant circumstances
• Make efforts to gather any other relevant information
• Decline to provide the service if you don't have the required expertise
