Assessment Requirements
Submit a project plan portfolio concept for a new event here in Melbourne incorporating the key project management fundamentals covered within the subject.
Students are to use Mahara to create a unique project page that forms the basis of the event concept.
Scope of the Report
The plan must be in 10 PARTS and include the 8 elements of project management as covered in the subject.
Students MUST ENSURE that the project page within Mahara includes these 8 elements. The structure of the event concept is as follows:
1. Project Scope description - overview, nature of theevent
2. Project Management objectives including an EventCharter
3. Project Management Lifecycle - a breakdown of the essential parts of the event - pre/during/post considerations - timeline elements, scheduling, Work Breakdown Structure (see9.)
4. Project Governance - control and oversight of the event - who is in charge and how areevent positionsdetermined
5. Project Risk Factors - identification of key event risks, budget controls, financial exposure and parameters
6. Project Stakeholders - who are the main stakeholders associated with your event -list
7. Project Management Logistics Considerations - identification of important logisticconsiderations unique to thisevent
8. Project Management Reporting - how, who, when, whatconsiderations
Additional supporting requirements for the event concept:
9. Gant Chart utilizing Microsoft Project and incorporating a WBS of the event withrelevant information and resourceallocation
10. Pictures/photos of the event where appropriate
