Describe and analyze two different ways that a project manager might monitor a project (focus on communication for this discussion; you will be focusing on tools in Discussion 2). One way would be for the project manager to set up weekly meetings with the team in order to track progress. There would be a set date and time for everyone to come and brief the project manager with what they have accomplished since the last meeting, as well as what they plan to accomplish by the next one. Another way to monitor the project would be to use project management software. There can be a calendar set up with taskers and people can check off their taskers as they complete them. Explain when the monitoring might be required, how often and how it would be delivered (email, meeting, in person). For the weekly meetings, they could either have a designated office space to meet up in or perhaps meeting at a local coffee shop, depending on how formal they wanted it to be. I believe weekly would be a good interval for meetings, depending on the complexity of the project.
